Axicons

Axicons are conical-shaped lenses that generate non-diffractive Bessel-like or ring-shaped beam profiles. Their ability to generate long-depth-of-focus beams makes axicons beneficial for applications in optical trapping, imaging, and material processing. Thorlabs offers axicons fabricated from UV fused silica or Zinc selenide. The UV fused silica variants are available mounted or unmounted, either with or without an AR coating. Zinc selenide axicons with a broadband AR coating for 7 to 12 µm are also available.
